Case Study – How can One Make the Web Design Blog Posts more Original?

Case Study – How can One Make the Web Design Blog Posts more Original?

Some days ago, I submitted an article to a blog owner in order to publish it (of, course if he appreciates it as having the same standards as the previous posted). I am not modest but, from the beginning of the year until this moment, I have published more than 100 articles related to web design & freelancing and his reply purely amazed me: “this isn’t unique, we cannot accept it”. I considered the article emailed being qualitative and interesting and the answer really scared me, maybe I am out of fresh ideas!

I reflected on this issue and, finally, the conclusions deducted were simple and somehow sad: nowadays, it is hard or almost impossible to offer originality unless you are a master both in blogging and in your field. The web design blogs assure, on a daily basis, very good posts that attract the visits of interested people and, in addition to the multiple ways of monetization, this community is transformed slowly in a real industry. As a room contributes to a small part of the profit of a hotel, the same, a post may be the source of a part from the total income of a blog owner. The wish of being the best and the necessity of being profitable pushed up the limits of bloggers and this is very beneficial for the readers of the precious online resources. This fabulous growth of web design blogs created a still incipient problem, but with great implications: the topics of web design were completely debated and any unique idea is a chimera.

In fact, this was the big problem of my rejected post; it could be a good post, full of good tips, but definitely a too much discussed topic. Am I totally outdated or the thoughts above are true? I believe that there are two big evidences to prove that I am right.

Bloggers Guide – The Anatomy of a worthy Post

Bloggers Guide – The Anatomy of a worthy Post

Few days ago, a good friend of mine, made an acid remark towards some of my articles, saying that the work of a blogger is about writing much but saying practically nothing. “Some of your posts are really cool, but others do not bring anything new” he said and apparently he is right. Definitely, in a world where the launch of a blog is a five minutes task and thousands of new articles are published, please let me know how could somebody still be original?

Personally, I am in doubt if nowadays somebody may be original, it’s a too harsh competition and the news are traveling at more than the speed of light (Einstein didn’t anticipated it). Being unique is considered a hard or impossible mission, a blogger must compensate with anything else in order to be more attractive.

The anatomy of a good post is a subjective thing, but each blogger, the same as a good cook has his own recipes to create cool posts. Here, I have shared with you my guide of making attractive articles, it isn’t something fixed, clearly it may be improved but, you have my word, it has really worked in 99% of the cases. In order to obtain a better article, I beg you to put your opinions into the comment form, hence any new reader finds a more complete article, but also he may offer other fresh ideas. Briefly: the more opinions, the better is the post, so help me and other fellows.
